Rockcastle County Jailer James E. Miller started his corrections career in 1992 as a Deputy Jailer. He worked from 1992 till 1998 in that capacity. In 1998 he was elected Jailer of Rockcastle County and is now serving in his third term. James has served in the Kentucky Jailer's Association as a board member for three years and Sgt. At Arms three years to the present time.
Jailer Miller is very active in Rockcastle County and it's communities. He is a member of the First Christian Church of Mt. Vernon. He has served in the Rockcastle Kiwanis since 1998. Leading as President in 2002 and serving as a board member six years to present. James is a charter board member of the Rockcastle County U.N.I.T.E. Coalition and also, a board member for the Rockcastle County A.S.A.P. Jailer Miller is a member of Rockcastle County's Drug Court and a member of the Rockcastle County Chamber of Commerce.
